6 PHOTO TIPS FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY

20/08/2020

Today we bring you 6 photography tips for your wedding day. Six simple tips so that your wedding report is spectacular.

1. The wedding dress and accessories

If you want to have a perfect memory of the wedding dress and accessories While you're putting on your makeup, our first tip is to keep them all in one place to keep them close at hand.

The shoes, the bridal bouquet, the rings, the pledge, the dress, the earrings, the crown, invitations, the perfume or any other detail that you want us to photograph in your house (or place of preparation).

It is not necessary that you place them in a beautiful way, simply that they are all prepared so that we can place them in the most photographically appropriate places.

Of course many of these elements will be photographed during the wedding day in an organic way, but we know that many of you also like to have those detailed photos at home.

You have been selecting the perfect accessories for many months and we want to make sure that everyone is photographed.

2. Preparations at the bride and groom's house

The following advice is related to the preparations at the home of the couple. We recommend having family or friends to help you during the process, to put on the dress, the suit or the accessories.

Having familiar people will make that moment more special and emotional, as well as more relaxed and natural.

In this sense, we also recommend informing these assistants ahead of time, so that they can organize themselves in case they want to appear in these photos already "arranged" (dresses, makeup, etc.).

3. Arrival at the ceremony

With the rush and nerves it is possible that you forget an important detail on arrival at the ceremony, but don't worry because we will remind you ,!

It is something as simple as rolling down the car window so that we can see your smile when you see and greet your relatives.

The ideal is to lower it almost completely, but leaving only a little bit of glass to capture reflections (sometimes we can see the church, the godfather, some guests...).

And then take a deep breath, look at your waiting guests and greet them with a huge smile.

It is a moment that we love, because it mixes many different emotions: illusion, nerves and full happiness in the last moments before the ceremony.

By the way, if you wear a mask for Covid, that does not prevent you from enjoying. Remember that if this painful pandemic has taught us something beautiful, it is that it is also possible to smile with your eyes!

4. Departure from the ceremony

If your ceremony is religious, at the end you can take some photos at the altar with the relatives.

When you already have all the images, the ideal is to ask the guests to wait outside, so that your exit is spectacular.

When leaving, we recommend that you do not lower your head too low or cover your faces with your arms or with the bouquet, since you will surely want to see your smiles and gestures in the photos later.

Remember that the rice grains must be washed beforehand, since when dry they can release starch and leave marks on the groom's suit that will stay with you for the rest of the day.

That is why we recommend throwing petals or thick confetti (we love the ones that are golden circles, they look great in the photo).

Of course, be careful with the "Chinese" confetti because they fail a lot and sometimes they bring too small pieces that easily get into your eyes and dirty your hair a lot.

5. Entrance to the banquet

This time we will talk about the entrance to the banquet. The ideal is to wait until all the guests are seated, put on an upbeat song and go in giving it your all!

You cannot miss the bridal bouquet, smiles and arms raised, greeting your guests who will soon stand up and welcome you in style 🙂

Note: Remember that you must notify the DJ in advance with the song that you like so that he has it ready. If you don't have a wedding planner (which we always recommend) we can give you the signal when you're ready to enter 😉

6. The bridal walk

On your wedding day, we recommend you reserve 10 or 15 minutes to take a short photographic walk alone. If possible while the guests arrive at the hacienda or at sunset (when the light is softer and more flattering).

It will be a moment of relaxation, natural and without forced poses, in which we will take the opportunity to capture you spontaneously.

In this outdoor report we can also take pictures of the dress, the bouquet, the accessories and in general all those details that you will have chosen with such care.

And we will do all this quickly and without you practically realizing that we are there, because it will be one of the first quiet moments that you will have alone to chat after the ceremony and because we will guide you at all times so that you can enjoy the session a lot.

Conclusion

We hope that these 6 photographic tricks for your wedding day have been interesting for you, but we do not want to end without giving you one last piece of advice:

The most important thing is that you enjoy your wedding day, that you be natural and that you normalize any type of unforeseen event that arises.

At the end of the day, it is about having fun and celebrating your love with your loved ones 🙂
